The starting point for this short bit of music was Joe Haydn's String Quartet in E-flat, op.33 #2, specifically the 10th and 11th bars of the Scherzo and the first two bars of the Largo. As it was written on a Thursday during an afternoon snowshower, the name of the music naturally became Thor's Snow Day.
The recording was realized by I. MacApel playing the Steinberg Dorico piano.
