Voyage of the Wren

On an unusually warm March day, while sitting on the balcony for the first time in the year and listening to Scarlatti keyboard sonatas, a small bird flew by.

When the wren wends its way,
winding through wild weeds
and wilted wisteria,
it wishes one wish:
"Whew: The End."

Later, the Prelude of a harpsichord suite by Francis Piggott was selected at random to be the "seed" for the day's musical creation. It seemed to fit with the bit of verse above, so they were stuck together.

The recording was realized by the Garritan Steinway Piano.
