Being both a (beginning) composer and a novice pianist has an interesting advantage, one can write music tailored to one's playing abilities and aspirations. Such is this sonatina. The changes in hand position are kept to a minimum so as to allow a focus on the two hands getting used to doing different things. Also, it has been skewed to my particular antiquated musical tastes so playing it is enjoyable, not a grinding exercise.
