An Electric Blue Horse Parade

When automobiles were exclusively powered by petroleum distillates, some were of the opinion that a new car should be red. With the arrival of electric cars, that opinion was modified such that new electric cars should be blue. A century and a quarter ago, before the horseless carriage replaced the nobility's four-footed mount in Sweden, Ellen Sandels wrote a cavalry march for piano called Blå Prinsen, which could be translated as "Blue Prince". This march for brass quintet is a (loose) arrangement of Sandels' piano march.

The recording was realized by the Steinberg Dorico Brass Quintet.
