This airplane is still flying, every summer at Whitman Field, Oshkosh, WI during the EAA onvention and fly-in, and at various times and places during the rest of the year. The photo was taken in 2003, but by some magic the homebuilt, modern planes on the far side of the taxiway vanished, as well as the color (someone once said that before color film was invented, the only color in the world was in the minds of painters). There is at least one vestige of this century in the picture.
